Cannon named 2nd Team All Big Sky Conference

Congratulations to NCVC Alum MADELINE CANNON - Junior middle blocker at Sacramento State for earning 2nd Team All Big Sky Conference!
In her second season with the program after transferring from Santa Clara, Cannon received all-league recognition for the first time…finished the regular season with averages of 2.14 kills, 0.96 blocks and 3.00 points per set while hitting .308…the hitting percentage is the eighth best mark in the Big Sky as she hit better than .300 on 14 occasions…that included recording the ninth (10 kills, .750 vs. Montana State) and 10th best (15 kills, .737 vs. Portland State) single-match hitting percentages in the program's Div. I era (1991-pres.)…raised her hitting percentage in Big Sky play to .342, the third best mark in the conference…recorded double figures in kills on 12 occasions, including a career-high tying 15 at home vs. Portland State…also one of the team's best servers with 28 aces compared to just 18 service errors…has started all but one match this season, and has played in 113 of a possible 115 sets…in two years at Sacramento State, she has started 61 of a possible 62 matches…named the tournament MVP of Fresno State's Bulldog Showdown and was named the Sacramento State Student-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 1
