BOSTON—The Babson College women's volleyball team had two players honored when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic (NEWMAC) released its all-conference teams on Wednesday. First-year Elizabeth Cameron (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) was tabbed as the league's rookie of the year and named to the first team.
Cameron, who is just the second player in program history to earn NEWMAC Rookie of the Year honors, started all 31 matches and averaged 8.08 assists, 2.30 digs, 0.92 kills and 0.51 blocks per set while hitting at a .254 clip. She ranked sixth in the league total assists (857), which is the fifth-highest single-season total in school history, and was seventh in assists per set. Cameron was also the only player in the conference to amass more than 800 assists, 200 digs, 90 kills and 50 blocks while recording more than 200 attack attempts.

The Beavers concluded the 2016 campaign at 18-13 after reaching the conference tournament semifinals for the third consecutive year for the first time in school history.
